This is dope as hell. I love how sculptural and researched the armor designs look. They're really a lot of fun to look at.
I saw you asked for crits on the WIP, but I didn't see it since I can't follow your blog. You should add the followers widget, am I the only asshole who uses the blogger dashboard?
My only comments are, what is the sphere thing? It's causing some tangents (sitting in trapped space by just barely not overlapping the figure) and is also distractingly bright. Shoots my eye off the canvas, to the left instead of bringing it back around.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents, great work man, inspiring!
You're dead on with the sphere object... this image was originally just going to be a character painting, but I decided to try and add story to it as I went(undead warlord interacting with futuristic probe in a tomb). Next time, am definitely going to take a step back and address the comp before moving on.
